Reflexion – Expedited Whitelist Procedure

Reflexion has developed an expedited whitelist procedure where an email can be crafted and sent to the Reflexion server

The syntax for sending exemptions to the Reflexion server without any manual keying once the setup is complete is as follows:

User Level Exemptions

rfx_exempt_on@rfx.com – Add an email addresses to the user’s whitelist.
rfx_exempt_off@rfx.com – Remove an email addresses from the user’s whitelist.
rfx_exempt_domain_on@rfx.com – Add a domain to the user’s whitelist.
rfx_exempt_domain_off@rfx.com –Remove a domain from the user’s whitelist.

Important:   For this to work properly, you must have your outbound mail going through Reflexion.  This means you will have set your smtp settings in your mail program already.   If for some reason you are unable to change your smtp settings, or have not yet done so but would like to import your contacts to the reflexion whitelist, please save your list of contact emails to either an excel spreadsheet or text file and email the to hpeel@thenetnow.com

Step by Step example of adding email addresses to your whitelist:

  1. In your email program, find how you can export your address book, or contact list.
  2. Take the list of email addresses ONLY and arrange them in a column in excel or in a text file with the addresses either one per line or separated by a space.
  3. Open your mail program and send a new email using the mail account you want to add the whitelist to.  Be sure you do have your settings set with asp-0.reflexion.net as your outgoing smtp mailserver.
  4. Paste the list of email addresses from your file into the body of the email.
  5. Address your email TO:  rfx_exempt_on@rfx.com

Step by Step example of adding domain names to your whitelist:

  1. Create a list of domain names you wish to exempt in the body of your email.  You will need to insert user@ in front of the list in order for Reflexion to recognize it as an email address and exempt the domain. *Note: Reflexion does not recommend global domain exemptions as it increases the change for spoofed emails arriving to the inbox!
  2. Address your email TO:  rfx_exempt_domain_on@rfx.com
